The Browncoat Wiki is a collaborative project, with lots of different people working together. The administrators of Muppet Wiki have created this User Name policy, which we will also implement on the Browncoat Wiki to encourage communication and effective teamwork.
In order to contribute to the Browncoat Wiki, you must log in and create a user name. Having a user name helps you (and everybody) keep track of your contributions. It helps you to build trust with the other contributors, and it makes it easier for other people to help you when you're having trouble figuring something out. Creating a stable identity is the key to being a part of the Muppet Wiki team.
Obviously, most new users won't know this policy when they start out. Most contributors get started by doing some trial edits, and seeing how the wiki works, before they create a user name. Because of this, everybody gets a five-edit "trial period". After the fifth anonymous edit, a message will be posted on the user's talk page, explaining this policy and linking to this page.
If the anonymous user continues to edit pages without logging in, then the IP address will be blocked.
If your IP address has been blocked, and you want to create a user name and continue working on the Browncoat Wiki, please send an e-mail to Cheryl at satine79@gmail.com.
